My name is Lance Grattafiori and I am originally from Muskegon, Michigan. I attend Michigan State University and have a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education with a minor in Social Studies Education.

Since I turned 16 I have worked at Ellenwood Landing Marina as a dockhand so since 2019. In 2023, I was promoted to Dock-Master, or assistant manager. The marina has around 180 yachts with around 240 owners/renters. Throughout this experience I have developed good relationships with all my boaters, co-workers, and have learned many important skills when it comes to facility management, handling issues when it comes to member complaints, handling money disputes, and providing valuable services to members that need it.

As a senior at MSU I have spent the entire year Student teaching, with the Spring Semester (2025) being full time lead teaching. I have spent the year at Ovid-Elsie in an 8th Grade Social Studies classroom teaching United States history. In this experience I have created my own lesson plans as well as entire units regarding not only the Civil War, but also Economics.
