
6) Interpreting Individual Students’ Thinking
In the pictured images above are a screenshot of a guided test study guide that was done in class for review before a test. On the students' test, they have to answer a written response question regarding which of the Reconstruction Amendments was the most important and had the most impact on the United States moving forward. So on the guided study guide, I had students circle their favorite amendment, and provide a short explanation of why they chose that amendment, so the next day during testing, students will already have those thoughts in their head and the overall DOK of all the amendments would be higher.
